The short version: We collect only what we need to run SolversBoard. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Your canvas work is processed for feedback and not stored beyond the session. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.
1. Who We Are
SolversBoard, Inc. is a Delaware-incorporated educational technology company headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia, United States. We operate SolversBoard Pro and any other services under the SolversBoard brand. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy refer to SolversBoard, Inc.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the Service:
Account information
Your email address and password (hashed — we never store plaintext passwords) when you register.
Usage and progress data
Questions answered, scores, streaks, XP, badges, and topic statistics — used to power your progress dashboard.
Canvas data
Drawings and handwritten work you submit for AI analysis. This data is sent to our AI provider for processing and is not stored beyond the immediate feedback session.
Payment information
Billing is processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number or full payment details.
Session data
Your saved whiteboard sessions, including page images, subject, topic, and related state — stored so you can resume your work.
Device and log data
IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited — used for security monitoring and service improvement.
3. How We Use Your Information

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:
Service providers
Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), and Anthropic (AI processing). Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
Legal requirements
If required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SolversBoard, our users, or the public.
Business transfer
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with appropriate notice provided to affected users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Canvas data submitted for AI analysis is not retained beyond the immediate processing window. Saved whiteboard sessions are retained until you delete them or close your account. You may request full account and data deletion at any time by contacting us.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use session cookies and browser local storage to maintain your login state and user preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or behavioral analytics networks. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; however, this may affect the functionality of the Service, including your ability to remain signed in.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is available to users aged 13 and older. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe a child under 13 has registered without parental consent, please contact us immediately at contact@solversboard.com and we will promptly delete the account and associated data.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), bcrypt-hashed passwords, and row-level security policies on our database. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which maintains PCI-DSS compliance. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we are committed to protecting your data with the best available practices and will notify affected users promptly in the event of a breach.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy with a revised “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
